After several years of refinement inside a motion-capture lab at Imperial College London, DART-Mo is leaving the bench. From today, research groups and studios can order a unit from our first production run, at early-adopter pricing.

DART-Mo is an automatic filming system that follows a subject in real time. Instead of asking a camera operator to track a fast-moving target by hand, it reads a live motion-capture feed and re-aims the line of sight itself, up to 500 times a second, resolving to better than a fifth of a degree.

What an order includes

Every unit is configured with you rather than sold off a shelf. The camera sensor, capture volume, and mounting all depend on what you are studying, so placing an order is really the start of a short specification conversation.

  • A DART-Mo unit built to your chosen sensor and optics configuration.
  • A licence for DART Live, our capture and analysis software for macOS, Windows and Linux.
  • Calibration support to align the system with your existing OptiTrack, Vicon or Qualisys setup.
  • A delivery slot from the first production run.

Who it is for

DART-Mo was built for work where the subject cannot be paused and the moment will not repeat — animal behaviour, insect flight, sports biomechanics, and any experiment where a person simply cannot keep a lens on the target. If that sounds like your setup, we'd like to hear about it.

Early-adopter pricing is indicative and depends on your final configuration. Get in touch and we will put together a quote and a delivery estimate for your setup.
